Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed Nexus for VR is expected to feature some of the franchise’s much-loved characters.
It is an exciting time to be an Assassin’s Creed fan. October sees the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage for PC and console and Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade will be arriving to smartphones a bit later.
Not only that but Gaming Bible recently reported that a sequel to AC Black Flag is on the horizon, however this will be in the form of a Webtoon. It definitely appears that Ubisoft is pulling out all the stops for this much-loved series.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus May Star Some Fan-Favourite Characters
Assassin’s Creed Nexus is set to be a VR instalment of the series coming to Meta Quest 2. Although we don’t yet know what we can expect for this title, some fans have managed to gain some clues from recent teasers.
In some screenshots of Nexus released by Ubisoft, fans spotted data strings written in binary programming language. By decoding these, a series of birth dates are revealed: 4th April 1756, 458 BCE and the 24th June 1459.
For the hardcore fans out there, you may notice that these birthdays belong to three much-loved AC characters: Connor from AC 3, Kassandra from AC Odyssey and Ezio from AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations respectively.
What else to expect
It remains to be seen how these characters will be incorporated into the story of AC Nexus but it will be exciting to see them again nonetheless.
With Nexus being one of three smaller AC projects for Ubisoft throughout 2023, we may receive some more information during next week’s Ubisoft Forward event.
Until then, we can look forward to an exciting year filled with hay bale takedowns, leaps of faith and the possible cameos.
