Star Trek: Infinite has been announced by Paradox Interactive, and it is grand strategy game in which you will be able to live your own Star Trek stories. As you may expect the four major factions of Star Trek, those being the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, and Cardassian Union, are all present. As players, you will be able to play as a leader of any four of those factions.

Star Trek: Infinite will give you access to a number of characters from the various shows too, letting you recruit them as officers. Those characters include Picard, Janeway, Sisko, Data, Gowron, Makbar, and Garak, but there will be others too. Ships are a key part of Star Trek: Infinite too with various classes available for each faction, including the Federation’s Defiant-class, the Cardassian Galor-class vessels, the Romulan D’deridex, and the Klingon Negh’Var battleships.

Star Trek: Infinite has been built upon the foundations of Stellaris, so those familiar with that game should be able to pick Star Trek: Infinite up relatively simply. In fact, Paradox Interactive has stated that the systems have been streamlined for Star Trek: Infinite. While we do not have a release date, the system requirements have been confirmed.
