With Street Fighter 6 launching in less than a month, Capcom have announced an upcoming open beta. Here’s everything we know.
Street Fighter 6 Open Beta Release Times
The Street Fighter 6 open beta will run from 8 A.M (BST) on May 19 to 8 A.M (BST) on May 22. During this time, you will have access to all the modes featured in the closed beta that ran in December.
All you have to do to enter the open beta is register your Capcom ID and link your preferred platform.
Open Beta Modes & Characters
During this access period, you can jump into online matches in a series of unique modes. These include:
- Ranked match
- Casual match
- Battle Hub match
- Open tournament
- Extreme Battle
- Game Center
- Training Mode
Additionally, you will be able to choose between eight different characters including Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Juri, Kimberly, Ryu, Ken and Guile. You can also gain access to character customisation but this is pretty limited to say the least. However, if you’re into making anatomically-incorrect characters, this one’s for you.

Cross-play will also be available through PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam. Additionally, for those unfamiliar with the Street Fighter franchise, a demo is still available. This will allow you to explore the open-world mode alone to get a feel for the game. You can download this via Steam.
Street Fighter 6 will launch on Friday June 2 for consoles and Steam. With Capcom promising the full launch will be “further adjusted and will feature updated character balance,” we can expect the open beta will provide them with helpful information for full release.
