Bandai Namco’s upcoming Tekken 8 will soon be available as a Closed Network Test next month. Here’s when and how you can get involved.

Tekken 8 is an upcoming fighting game and the eighth main instalment in the Tekken series. With a loyal fanbase, it is safe to say that fans are eagerly anticipating its release. However with no exact release date, fans can make do with an upcoming beta.

What the beta will include 

The Tekken 8 Closed Network Test will give players the chance to get to grips with the new mechanics as well as a sneak peek at the game’s visuals thanks to Unreal Engine 5. 

The main priority of the beta is to test Tekken 8’s network stability. However, players will also get access to 16 characters and even Ranked mode which will be available for cross-platform. 

The characters in question will be Bryan, Claudio, Asuka, Hwoarang, Paul, Law, Jack 8, Kazuya, Jun, Leroy, Lili, Nina, Xiaoyu, King, Lars and Jin. 

Last but not least, you will be able to play through 5 stages: Urban Square (Evening), Rebel Hangar, Arena, Sanctum and Yakushima. 

Tekken 8 Beta Starting Time

Although Tekken 8 does not yet have an “official” beta, the Closed Network Test will still give you an early look at the game. However, it will be split into two parts.

The first period is for PlayStation 5 only and will run from July 21 to July 24, 2023. It will kick off at 10:00AM CEST on the 21st and end at 9:00AM CEST on the 24th. 

The second period will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam. It will run from July 28 to July 31, 2023 and will begin and end at the above times. 

How to join

Registration for the Tekken 8 Closed Network Beta will begin on June 9 at 3:00PM CEST. (OPEN NOW!)

It can be accessed via registration on the official website. However, be aware that it is a first come first served basis so be quick!
